The Lost Earth, an FPS MMORPG from Lightning Soft, will be showcased at the 2024 PlayX4 B2B in Ilsan from May 23 to 26. Lightning Soft has produced games such as King Taepyung Story: Myth of Halla, Front of Avarice: Double-Edged Sword, and PetPang, among others.

In terms of infrastructure and systems, Lightning Soft boasts 3D Graphic Integrated Shader technology, Unreal Engine Platform Services technology, etc. Lightning Soft CEO Lee Hoon-Ki developed AVA and serviced various games at Nexon and Webzen as well, among others.

in addition, the development team has used the Unreal Engine since its inception. They conducted successful tests using Unreal Engine 5 in China and Southeast Asia last year.

Notably, the Lost Earth has been in development since 2020. Testing was conducted through Wangyue Network Group in China and overseas by the end of 2023. They consider China, Southeast Asia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand to be the main investment markets.

At the show, they will introduce The Lost Earth. Users can create costumes using the User Content Creation Platform. They can construct bases, buildings, AI, monsters, and NPCs, going beyond the conventional and standardized PVE.

Lightning Soft stated, “‘The Lost Earth’ depicts a world where inhabitants defend their residences and survive against life forms mutated by a virus from a meteorite fallen from outer space. Various regions are central to combatting monsters and securing survival materials, leading to complex user interactions.”

In this game, there are two battle modes: player-versus-player (PVP) and player-versus-environment (PVE). There are villages that serve as a safe zone where no one can attack. A key feature of this game is capturing strongholds and defending them. Players can form clans to attack or protect strongholds.

Moreover, players can trade items and equipment inside the game and web markets.

Gyeonggi Content Agency and KINTEX are hosting the 2024 PlayX4 B2B. The game conference is themed ‘More Than Just the Joy of Gaming’ and will showcase exhibitions of Korean and international games.
