The New VR MMO Ilysia Goes into Beta

The new VR MMO game Ilysia will be heading to beta test starting the July 28 weekend. Players with  Alpha 2 characters will have to create new ones. Supporters from Kickstarter and funders should have already received beta keys, along with those who bought access after Alpha 2.

Team Studio 21 plans to make additional keys available through the official discord, social media, and some partner streamers.

In an effort to release a bug-free game in its final product, the studio will be hosting two beta tests. This means that another will follow this weekend’s run.

According to Team Studio 21, the system behind Ilysia is “the first fully server-authoritative MMORPG back-end for VR”. They intend to gather gamers’ feedback and start critical adjustments before the final release.

Team Studio 21 has already been working on the feedback received during Alpha 2 and has provided some insights into the Beta Test 1in a brief trailer. Some improved features of the Ilysiai Beta 1 will be a party system, class structure and skills, instanced dungeons, and improvements to combat AI.

Ilysia is a rapid RPG multi[layer game built around the exploration of a fictional world. Players set out on an expansive open world and explore hidden ruins and dungeons, seek out lost treasure, climb and fight massive titans, and quests.

Gamers can choose to fight alone or alongside friends as they hone their skills in numerous professions.

Team 21 Studio, Inc. was founded in 2016 and is located in Aiken, South Carolina, United States. They have released other VR games including the well-known Lair of the Titans, which was released in March 2018, and Fat Foods, the same year.

Ilysia was successfully kickstarted in October 2020 and concluded public Alpha testing in April 2022. The game is currently getting ready for the first of two beta tests. The first is set to start on July 28.
